Several Bethesda-Area Restaurants Receive ‘Wine Spectator’ Awards

Several Bethesda-area restaurants have been named winners of Wine Spectator’s annual general awards foe honoring restaurants charity a best booze selections.

Local restaurants that warranted Wine Spectator’s “Award of Excellence” are The Capital Grille in Chevy Chase; Jaleo and Morton’s The Steakhouse in Bethesda; Del Frisco’s Grille and Seasons 52 in North Bethesda; and Ruth’s Chris Steak House in Gaithersburg, a repository has announced.

The awards commend restaurants whose booze lists offer “interesting selections, are suitable to their cuisine and interest to a far-reaching operation of booze lovers,” according to a magazine. This year, a repository respected 3,759 restaurants in all 50 states and some-more than 75 countries and territories in 3 endowment categories: “Award of Excellence,” “Best of Award of Excellence” and “Grand Award.” 

The “Award of Excellence” is given to restaurants whose booze lists “typically offer during slightest 90 selections, underline a well-chosen collection of peculiarity producers, along with a thematic compare to a menu in both cost and style,” according to a magazine’s website.  More than 2,400 restaurants perceived a endowment this year.

No internal restaurants perceived a “Best of Award of Excellence” or “Grand Award.” The finish list of winners will be featured in a magazine’s Aug issue.
